Another week, another record for Ella Langley.

If you think it’s been hard to keep up with all the headlines surrounding Ella Langley and her generational run over the past six months, I wouldn’t even blame you at this point. After riding the highs of 2024’s Riley Green collaboration, “you look like you love me” all the way into the end of 2025, the Alabama native dropped what can only be described as a cultural phenomenon at this point with “Choosin’ Texas.”

As it stands today, “Choosin’ Texas” is the longest-running #1 hit by a female country artist on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 (nine non-consecutive weeks), the only country song by a woman to triple up and go #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Hot Country and Country Airplay chart simultaneously and just the seventh country song solely recorded by a woman to go #1 on the Hot 100 in the history of the chart.

In case that wasn’t enough, thanks to the success of her sophomore album, Dandelion, which debuted at #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and sold 169,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week, Langley became just the second woman in history to hold the #1 album and song in the U.S. simultaneously with a country song/album. Of course, Taylor Swift was the first, going #1 with Red (Taylor’s Version) and “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” back in 2021.

Last week, she made history by becoming just the third artist in history to hold the top three songs on the Hot Country Songs chart, charting “Choosin’ Texas,” “Be Her” and her internet-breaking Morgan Wallen collaboration, “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” from #1-3.

This week, she’s made even more history and set yet another record for women in country music.

With “Choosin’ Texas” spending its ninth week at #1 and “Be Her” rising from #5 to #2 on the Hot 100, Langley is now the first female country artist in history to simultaneously hold the Top 2 songs in the United States. To understand just how rare this feat is, this is the first time in the chart’s 67-year history that a woman in country music has accomplished this — a feat that legends such as Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Shania Twain and more have never achieved.

Langley is now the second country artist ever to accomplish this, joining fellow superstar Morgan Wallen, who accomplished this just last year upon the release of I’m The Problem. Last May, Wallen managed to own the Hot 100’s top three songs with “What I Want,” “Just in Case” and “I’m the Problem.”

In addition to her all-genre dominance on the Hot 100, “Choosin’ Texas” is also #1 for its 24th week on the Hot Country Songs chart, its 10th week on the Streaming Songs chart and its 6th week on the Digital Song Sales chart.

With the track projected to stay at #1 for its 10th frame next week, it’s incredibly likely that the 27-year-old singer/songwriter will break yet another chart record next Monday as well. While Morgan Wallen has all but blown the expectations through the roof in terms of all-genre hit songs over the past few years, Langley has captured lightning in a bottle unlike anything we’ve ever seen recently and is matching records set by him in the meantime.
