Alright, I’m all in on the “Roast of Tom Brady” at this point.
In yet another live event for Netflix, Tom Brady will be the center of a “roast,” which brings comedians, celebrities, friends, and family together to basically insult the roast-ee to a pulp. The streaming service is calling it “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,” and it is set to air live on May 5th at 8 P.M. EST.
I was already “there for it,” as the kids are saying nowadays, because seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady was finally going to have to face some criticism and take some hits. I’m not sure what all will be said to roast him, but thankfully we don’t have to wait too much longer at this point to find out.
The live event, which is advertising itself as the first ever roast that’s airing live and unedited, will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart. So far, we’ve only been informed of a couple of “roasters” that will be trying to hit Tom Brady where it hurts. Former teammates Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss, and Drew Bledsoe are some of the names that have been teased so far, and another recent roaster confirmation has everyone even more excited.
Bill Belichick.
As you can see from that reliable source, Brady’s former head coach and partner for six Super Bowl wins will be one of the individuals roasting… with Ben Affleck also teased as a “probable” roaster. Funny that we are using sports injury designation words like “probable” around a roast, is it not?
I’ll certainly be tuning in now if Bill Belichick will be up there getting a free run at Tom Brady. The coach and quarterback had a rather amicable break up, and both have only praised each other since they went separate ways. But with that being said, I’d love to see what Bill has to say in a no-holds-barred roasting event of “Touchdown Tom.”
