If you’re not listening to Ole 60 yet, you’re behind the ball here.

The six piece Hawesville, KY country rock outfit, who touts their sound as “not your father’s country,” took the scene by storm just a couple months ago as they seemingly out of nowhere (which means TikTok) topped the country music charts with their four track EP three twenty four nearly six months after its release. The band has quietly garnered a massive social media following and impressive streaming numbers despite their nascency, but otherwise, there honestly isn’t that much we know about them.

It appears online as if their momentum has led them to sign with a Nashville-based record label called Grey Area (a roster of TikTok artists), and they have teamed up with United Talent Agency for booking. So, what better way to keep the momentum going strong than by releasing a new single?

Ole 60’s brand song titled “Next To You” is  angsty in sentiment yet acoustically driven and harmonica heavy for a country-rock tinged sound as the lyrics mull over a fizzling relationship and the events that have led to the narrator’s situation. Fitting perfectly within the band’s growing catalog, serving as just their sixth song released to streaming platforms, “Next To You” is a must-hear for all country music fans looking for that next up and coming band to latch on to.

Give is a listen here:

“Next To You” marks the band’s second single release in less than two months, following the release of the hard-hitting story of “Brother Joe” back in March, and has led to speculation that the band could be rolling out the initial singles for a yet to be announced debut album. Whether that is true or not, the buzz surrounding Ole 60’s music is palpable, and it’s an exciting time to be listening to their music before they truly blow up to the heights they appear to be heading.

If this is your first time listening to Ole 60, make sure to check out “Brother Joe,” as well as their viral hit “smoke & a light” and the other songs from their debut EP three twenty four.

One of the latest groups in a long line of incredible bands and artists to emerge from the Kentucky music scene to national success, Ole 60, whose name is an ode to a stretch of highway in their home state, is based out of Hawesville, a town located in the Western part of the Bluegrass State along the Ohio River.

The band, comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Jacob Young as well as bassist Colby Clark, drummer Aden Wood, and dual guitar slingers Tristan Roby and Ryan Laslie, has already opened a handful of dates for Dylan Gossett and are joining Charles Wesley Godwin for a handful of shows as well.

Having recently announced their first headlining tour, Ole 60 is already playing venues that many up and coming artists dream of headlining, but they’ve gotten to this point in pretty short order. The venues will only get larger, though, so don’t wait. Get out there and see Ole 60 now, you’ll be glad you did.
