“Leave Them Broadway Chairs Alone” – Eric Church’s Nashville Bar Continues To Have Fun With The Attention From Morgan Wallen’s Arrest

Might as well get in on the fun.

The jokes immediately started to fly (just like the chairs) after country superstar Morgan Wallen was arrested last weekend in Nashville for allegedly throwing a chair off the rooftop of Eric Church’s new downtown bar, Chief’s.

Morgan was ultimately charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct, and was released on a $15,000 bond early Monday morning.

As of right now, the only statement that’s come from the singer or his team has been a short release from his attorney on Monday:

“At 10:53p Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities.”

But of course the internet did what the internet does, and immediately started making “last night he let the liquor talk” jokes and rewriting Morgan’s songs to recap the incident.

And some of them are pretty good…

Well Church’s bar also decided to take advantage of the unwanted publicity, and after the incident they changed the marquee sign in front of Chief’s to reference Wallen’s arrest on their rooftop and barbecue restaurant:

“Our Pigs Fly, Our Chairs Don’t”

But over the weekend, visitors to Broadway’s newest bar noticed the sign had changed again, this time to include a joke that’s been thrown around (no pun intended) a lot on social media over the past week:

“Leave them Broadway chairs alone.”

Great advice…but maybe a week too late.

Of course Morgan and Eric are not only close friends but also business partners after announcing earlier this year that they had teamed up to buy Field & Stream and revive the iconic outdoors brand. And in what can only be described as the most awkward timing possible, their recent duet Man Made A Bar also recently hit #1 on the charts.

Let’s just hope that when they get together to celebrate their #1, all legs of the chairs stay on the ground.

They’ve gotta put that chair on display now though, right?
