Morgan Wallen‘s ex doesn’t believe his arrest last night in Nashville has anything to do with the fact that she recently got married.
Of course by now everybody’s heard about the country singer’s latest trouble, after he was arrested for throwing a chair off the rooftop of Eric Church’s new bar, Chief’s.
The country singer was charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment, and one count of disorderly conduct. He was released on bond earlier this morning, with his next court appearance on May 3.
And immediately, fans began speculating that Morgan’s troubles may be related to the fact that his ex-fianceé and the mother of his child recently got married.
KT Smith shares a 3-year old son, Indigo, with the country singer, and the two were previously engaged during an on-again, off-again relationship between 2016 and 2019.
But recently, Smith seems to have moved on from her superstar ex. Late last month, she announced that she was engaged to her new boyfriend, Luke Scornavacco. And just a few days later, Smith revealed that the couple had decided not to wait to tie the knot.

A source reportedly told the Daily Mail that Wallen was “crushed” by the news of his ex’s marriage:
“Morgan has never gotten over her even though he couldn’t stay faithful to her. And now another man is going to be raising his son.
Whatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life.”
But in a statement released to the Daily Beast, Smith said she doesn’t believe that his latest legal troubles had anything to do with her or her new relationship:
“Although it may seem like it correlates because of the timeline, I have no evidence to believe the incident had anything to do with the recent marriage announcement…
I cannot speak on Morgan’s behalf, but I do pray the very best for him. Praying that this was just a slip up and that he will return to the good path that he was on prior.”
Of course Morgan didn’t seem too upset as he was being arrested, with video showing him laughing in the cop car and appearing cooperative with officers who were searching him as they took him into custody.
