Morgan Wallen’s ‘Voice’ Audition Is A Must-See (Was Later Eliminated After Singing Florida Georgia Line)

Damn, does time fly.

I have to admit, I completely forgot Morgan Wallen was on The Voice back in 2014 (luckily YouTube rabbit holes come through in the clutch from time to time). To be honest, I think that show is garbage, as is American Idol these days, but we’re not here to talk about singing competitions that have given Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan the opportunity to buy their 14th mansion.

We’re here to talk about a long-haired kid who had “no clue” how to get into the music business as he mentions in the video.

Obviously, things worked out in the end with Wallen now being one of the biggest up-and-coming stars in mainstream country, but it sure is strange to see him as a kid wearing a tie and sweater singing HOWIE DAY’S “COLLIDE.”

A couple years ago, Morgan was interviewed and asked about the experience and his elimination from the show:

“I made Top 20. When I made it there, I got a list of songs to choose from. An FGL song was the only country song on the list, so I sang their song and got kicked off!”

He was eliminated after singing “Stay” by Florida Georgia Line. READ THE ROOM MORGAN.

Here’s the audition.
